Frequently Asked Questions ABOUT ETSY Q) What is Etsy? A) Etsy is my store's selling matrix. It's similar to Ebay but strickily for handmade goods. Q) Why do I need to register with Etsy? A) Registering with Etsy allows you to purchase items from my shop. It helps regulate the credibility of each store with use of the feedbacks that are left after a purchase. By viewing the feedbacks of a given shop, you can determine if this is a seller you'd like to do business with. A note to remember: those with a smaller amount of feedbacks are usually new and had just opened. Give them a chance as well. Q) How much does it cost to register with Etsy? A) Nothing. It costs nothing to register. Q) Do I need a Paypal account to purchase items? A) No! I use Paypal for quick and easy payments and tracking. If you do not have a Paypal account, you may still use Paypal to make purchases with a credit cards without registering. This option will be available at the time of purchase. Never the less, it's a good idea to have a Paypal account. You will be able to keep better track of your purchases. SHIPPING Q) How long will a custom order take? A) It depends on two things 1) the item and 2) if the fabric is in stock. Production time can be between 1-2 weeks, in some cases even less than that. If the fabric is not in stock it could take up to 4 weeks. I will keep in constant contact to assure you about the approximate time for your particular item. I've been known to turn an item around in 2 days. Q) How will my items arrive? A) I ship items via United States Postal Service. I try my best to use the most economical means of shipping when possible. Large items will be shipped in a large envelope or sturdy box if needed. Smaller items such as pouchlets and card pouches will be shipped via a shipping bubble envelope. Q) How are shipping costs calculated? A) I offer FREE shipping for all accessories no matter the destination, (US residents only). I will combine shipping if purchasing multiple items and will notify you if I pack them in more than one package. Shipping will be assessed by weight. If you purchase a large item, (such as a Large Hobo) and a small item, I will pack them together. PAYMENT Q) What can I expect during the checkout proccess? A) After adding items to your shopping cart, you will be promted to complete the purchase. You will then have the opportunity to pay with a credit card by clicking the Paypal button. It's a 2 step proccess. Q) What if I purchase items from you and another seller? A) You have to pay each seller at a time. Follow the prompts in your shopping cart. Problems? Just email me at Thantia@OneHappyTree.com Q) When should I pay? A) Preferable at the time of checkout. Just as Ebay, you may complete the payment at a later time with Etsy. I have a 72 hour turn around time before I relist the item. Please make your payment as soon as possible within 72 hours. Failure to do so will result in the item being relisted and a possible negative feedback to your account. I will contact you with reminders and options. Q) Can I pay by Check? A) I am only accepting checks within the state of Virginia to those approved. Please contact me for details. Q) Do you charge sales tax? A) Yes, 5% to residence in the state of Virginia. Q) What name will appear on my credit card statement? A) You will see either "One Happy Tree" or "1HappyTree". |
